Professor of Midwifery
We are seeking an exceptional person to join the School of Nursing & Midwifery professorial team and to lead the research of the Directorate of Midwifery.
You will provide leadership to the strategic development and management of the School’s local, national and international programmes of research in midwifery. You will work collaboratively with researchers across the School, University and NHS partners in order to enhance our reputation for high quality research and innovation.
You will hold a portfolio of research activity and publications that hold resonance with the midwifery public health agenda and a real interest in the health and care of women, babies and families.
The role will include teaching students at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level.
Our School’s research programme was ranked 10th in the Nursing and Midwifery Unit of Assessment in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise.
