intermid.co.uk is Athens compatible, allowing subscribing institutions to easily manage access to the content. There are different routes to accessing this content which are described below:
General access
By visiting www.intermid.co.uk/cgi-bin/go.pl/athens.html you will return to the intermid.co.uk homepage. You now have full access to the complete library and can use our search tools to find the information you are looking for. When you leave the intermid.co.uk website you will be logged out of the site.
You can change this behaviour if you supply the return page above (www.intermid.co.uk/cgi-bin/go.pl/athens.html) with a URL parameter. Detailed below is how you can directly access, the journal, issues, articles and even the search results page. The fundamental principle is that you can direct your users to any intermid page and simultaneously authenticate through Athens. You will need to use a customised URL that is of the form http://www.intermid.co.uk/cgi-bin/go.pl/athens.html?url= and supply this the URL you wish to end up at. This will take your users through the Athens authenication and send them back to the page you supplied.
NB If you are passing multiple parameters through the URL, e.g.
